Casual Squish Hunting
Today, there was a Squish drop at Five Below that I had previously heard about. It included a best friend squad and a food squad. I wasn’t completely trying to go, since I’m working on saving some extra money with Christmas coming up. However, I still decided to stop by shortly after opening to see what I could find. Of course, I walked out with some new Squishes. I picked up the best friends Rosie and Ronnie, and a couple of mystery Squishville packs.
On my way home, I stopped by Target to see what they had, and I found Baratelli! I honestly didn’t know they remade him for Target, and it was really exciting to find him. I love collecting anything to do with frogs, so I needed to add him to my collection. I quickly grabbed him and everything I actually went for, and headed home.
I am loving all of my new Squish friends from today! Ronnie and Baratelli are the softest of the bunch from today, since they are made with the classic Squishmallow fabric. Rosie is made with the printing fabric, which isn’t as soft but still good. They all have a 10/10 squishiness score from me, which is great given their amazing price point.
I hope everyone was able to grab some goodies from this drop if they wanted them, and I wish continued luck and success to fellow amateur hunters out there!

Hunting at Costco
I wouldn’t call myself a huge Squishmallow hunter. I’ve had my moments, but I don’t go to a million locations every week when there’s a supposed drop coming. However, I have been absolutely in love with this new 8 pack that is coming out to stores as of recently, which includes Patty the cow. I want this pack so much that when arriving to go grocery shopping, I ran straight to the area that Costco has set up toys, in hopes of finding this pack. Unfortunately, I never found it, but I did find a fresh box of 24″ Squishmallows.
Let me say, 24″ is substantially more in real life than it sounds or looks online. But for $36.99, it’s a steal. And Omar here stole my heart. I used to not care for the bears, but their simple face has won me over. I mean, just look at him! This guy is massive, and a perfect thing to snuggle up on.

Five Below Halloween Drop
My first squish drop was definitely an experience!
I was a town over running errands. It was about 9:30 am, and I decided to go ahead to Five Below (they open at 10:00 am), just to wait the last 30 minutes until they opened. Upon driving up, I saw a line had already formed and I began to feel panicked. Being me and hating lines, I decided to drive back towards home to stop at the Five Below there. Surely, I thought, there would be less hassle by the time I got there.
When I arrived, I saw one family waiting, and no one else. I already felt relieved. I went ahead and got in line, since apparently this was going to be more stressful than I had originally planned for. I struck up conversation with them, and they were so kind! Time passed by and the line began to form shortly before opening. When the doors opened, we all sped walked to the back. I’m so glad this family knew where they were going because I was clueless. We made it to the display and chaos ensued. I grabbed what I wanted the most: Tomos, a green frog with a witch hat. My memory is fuzzy but I remember exclaiming something like “Yes! The Frog!”, before looking down and seeing a shelf clearer quite literally sweep the bottom shelving, where apparently the more “valuable” squish resided. At this point, I just started grabbing whatever else caught my eye. To more seasoned collectors, I made out pretty good.
Regardless of my haul, I know the other collectors that were in line behind me weren’t so fortunate with this drop. Honestly, there shouldn’t be any luck involved; people were 4th, 5th, etc. in line, and there were plenty of Squishmallows to go around for us. The issue with this remained with obviously the reseller who grabbed as many items as she could, and also with the store not managing a limit number. I do hope that the future is brighter for collectors like me.
Overall, my first Squishmallow drop experience went well. I made a friend, experienced something new, and got some cute new squishes! Despite the negative things that I know many collectors experience, I do recommend doing this at some point if you haven’t already.
